This report describes a novel x-ray system that enhances diffraction analysis in macromolecules, implying improved research possibilities.
A novel x-ray laboratory system optimized for diffraction studies of protein crystals and macromolecules as well as for phase contrast analysis and other applications is described. The system is based on a micro-focus X-ray source of 10W power and provides the minimum focal spot size of ~ 10 μm and the flux of ~ 4.5x1012 ph/sec at the Cu K_α-line.
