Examines organic farming's economic and agronomic effects in farmers, suggesting sustainability benefits with proper support.
Organic farming has emerged as a sustainable alternative to chemical-intensive agricultural systems. This study examines the agronomic, economic, and market implications of organic farming adoption in the Solamadevi region. Primary data were collected from 60 farmers using a structured questionnaire. Statistical tools including percentage analysis, Chi-square tests, independent sample t-tests, and Pearson correlation were employed. The findings reveal statistically significant improvements in soil health indicators and reduced total cultivation costs under organic systems. However, transitional yield decline and fragmented market structures limit consistent profitability. The study concludes that organic farming offers long-term sustainability benefits when supported by institutional frameworks and improved marketing channels
