Data repository enhances wind field estimation from radio occultation measurements, suggesting improved climate modeling accuracy.
This repository contains the data and Python scripts for the AGU Earth and Space Science publication, "Beyond geostrophic and gradient wind: Enhancing the estimation of radio occultation wind fields." The final data product is the so-called radio occultation (RO) wind field climatology (RO climatic wind fields), on a 2.5° x 2.5° horizontal grid, spanning vertically from 800 hPa to 10 hPa and covering 2008–2020 on a monthly scale.
