Analyses reveals radiocarbon dates for samples in a lithic scatter, indicating periods of occupation in Choctaw County.
Site 1CW358, a lithic scatter in Choctaw County, Alabama, is situated on the southern side of a low saddle bisected by a small, unnamed tributary of Souwilpa Creek. A pit feature containing a high concentration of charcoal and debitage was sampled at two depths to examine the charcoal and charred macrofloral record and obtain radiocarbon dates to identify the period of occupation.
