Descriptive research investigates the impact of digital ride services on traditional transport users, suggesting significant shifts in transportation preferences.
Urban transportation systems have witnessed tremendous changes with the advent of digital technologies such as ride-hailing services like Ola, Uber, Rapido, and in Driver. The present study aims to comprehensively review digital transportation services compared to conventional modes of transportation, i.e., auto-rickshaws and taxis, based on the perceptions of users. A descriptive type of research has been employed to generate the required data from 127 respondents through primary research, supplemented by the findings of secondary materials. Statistical methods such as ANOVA and correlation have been employed to interpret the generated data, which reveals changed consumption patterns of people driven by the ease, clarity, and efficiency of digital services, followed by traditional transportation services used by other people.
