MARIT‑FIRE is the world 's first open international standard for extreme wildfire management based not on subjective assessments but on measurable thresholds , real-world fire behavior , and scientific evacuation criteria . The system combines four key innovations: Threshold mode recognition : When wind, propagation speed , spark throw radius or infrastructure failures reach critical values, the system automatically transfers command to the next level of readiness. PyroCb detection as an automatic trigger for fire suppression failure : the formation of a pyrocumulanibus is detected by satellites and immediately switches the operation to “rescue people” mode rather than “fight the fire”. Scientific evacuation model : evacuation timing is based on traffic, road capacity and fire rate , allowing orders to be issued in advance rather than "when it's too late . " AI -based fire trap prediction (TAGS ) : The system predicts escape route closures 8-15 minutes before they become deadly . MARIT-FIRE is useful for fire departments, emergency response centers , fire behavior analysts , governments , and researchers.
