Research Article demonstrates touch-triggered encryption of multiplexed optical information using bi-chiral superstructures, indicating a new approach for secure data transmission.
Touch-Driven Bi-Chiral Superstructures In their Research Article (DOI: 10.1002/adma.202513318), Peng Chen, Bing-Yan Wei, Jianlin Zhao, Yan-Qing Lu, and co-workers report a touch-driven bi-chiral superstructure, where polymerized relief-structured cholesteric liquid crystals (CLCs) are combined with temperature-sensitive opposite-handed CLCs. Through delicate photopatterning and Bragg reflection engineering, the information embedded in multiple optical degrees of freedom can be correctly decrypted only when triggered by proper human touch. This work advances the on-demand construction of chiral nanostructures and offers a new paradigm for high-security and high-capacity optical informatics.
