Innovative laser-synthesis shows enhanced hydrogen production efficiency in alkaline seawater using a new electrocatalyst, indicating a breakthrough in energy solutions.
Seawater Electrolysis In article number 2403314, Myong Yong Choi and co-workers proposed a novel pulsed laser process to synthesize ZIF-8 followed by the development of Pt-decorated N-doped carbon electrocatalyst. This NC-Pt catalyst showed superior HER kinetics in alkaline seawater with a low overpotential of 57 mV at 10 mA cm−2, showcasing its potential for hydrogen production.
