Maternal care facilities in Nigeria face significant challenges in ensuring quality healthcare for expectant mothers and infants. A comprehensive search was conducted using electronic databases including PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library. Studies were included if they met specific criteria related to methodology and clinical outcomes. The review identified a high variability in the quality of care provided across different facilities, with some facilities showing improvement over time. Despite methodological inconsistencies, several best practices emerged that can be adopted to enhance maternal health outcomes in Nigeria. Facilities should prioritise training and continuous professional development for healthcare providers, while policymakers should invest in infrastructure improvements and resource allocation. Treatment effect was estimated with logit (pᵢ) =₀+^ Xᵢ, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
