District hospital systems in Rwanda face challenges in delivering healthcare services efficiently and effectively. A mixed-method approach was employed, including quantitative data collection via standardised surveys and qualitative insights from interviews with hospital staff. The analysis revealed an average yield increase of 15% in outpatient services due to improved operational procedures implemented through the trial. The randomized field trial demonstrated significant potential for enhancing healthcare delivery at district hospitals, leading to better service outcomes and patient satisfaction.
