When Is LQC Gravitational Baryogenesis Admissible? A Threshold Reanalysis of Loop Quantum Cosmology Gravitational Baryogenesis

Abstract

This paper applies a threshold reanalysis to Odintsov and Oikonomou’s Loop QuantumCosmology Gravitational Baryogenesis. The target is different from the corrective andconfirmatory case-study types that motivated the framework. Here the question is notwhether the source variable is too specialized, nor whether the source paper was alreadywholly safe. The question is whether the mechanism assumes more active sectors than itsheadline warrants. Two results follow. First, the non-zero radiation-era baryon asymmetryderived by Odintsov and Oikonomou is not a bare statement about the fundamental LQCbounce by itself. Their calculation is written entirely in a descendant effective regime thatalready assumes a flat FRW metric, cosmic time, a Ricci scalar and its time derivative,quasi-static thermal equilibrium, a baryonic current, and a decoupling temperature. Inthe present language, the published rate law therefore presupposes an admissibility profile(IC , IG, Ith, IJ ) = (1, 1, 1, 1) before the asymmetry formula can even be evaluated. LQCsupplies the modified background dynamics; it does not by itself supply the full baryogenesislanguage. Second, the paper’s own benchmark choices split once interaction-sector control istracked. Odintsov and Oikonomou inherit from Davoudiasl et al. the interpretation of M∗ asthe cutoff scale of the effective interaction, yet they display results both for TD = 2×1016 GeVand for TD = 2 × 1011 GeV while keeping M∗ = 1012 GeV. Under a strict cutoff reading, thelower-temperature benchmark is admissible but the higher-temperature benchmark is not.Under a weaker reading in which M∗ is only a suppression scale, an additional UV-completionstatement is required and is not supplied in the source paper. The paper gives a gate-awarerewrite of the Odintsov–Oikonomou source formula that makes this control condition explicit.The point is not to deny that LQC corrections can make ˙R̸ = 0 in radiation domination.The point is to separate that genuine physical observation from a broader headline thatcompresses several descendant assumptions into “LQC baryogenesis.”
