Novel device accumulates energy from body heat, movement, and light to charge external gadgets, suggesting new wearable tech possibilities.
This paper presents a novel conceptual architecture for a wrist-worn wearable device that continuously accumulates electrical energy from body heat (thermoelectric), wrist motion (piezoelectric), and ambient light (photovoltaic), stores it in a detachable rechargeable power module with a charge state indicator, and outputs USB power to charge external devices.
