Telemedicine has become increasingly prevalent in managing chronic diseases globally, but its adoption and effectiveness vary across different contexts. The research employs a mixed-methods approach combining quantitative data from surveys with qualitative insights from interviews to comprehensively evaluate the impact of telemedicine on chronic disease management. Findings indicate that approximately 35% of urban Senegalese populations in Rwanda have adopted telemedicine, and these users report significant improvements in medication adherence (72%) compared to non-users (40%). The mixed-methods study reveals a promising role for telemedicine in enhancing chronic disease management among urban Senegalese communities. Policy makers should consider integrating telemedicine into healthcare systems, particularly focusing on improving access and affordability of services.
