Abstract The present study investigates the mental health of male and female volleyball players in Bhandara District, Maharashtra. The hypothesis proposed that there would be no significant difference in mental well-being between male and female athletes. A sample of 200 players (100 male and 100 female) was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results showed that male players (M = 140.93, SD = 5.69) and female players (M = 142.18, SD = 5.95) did not differ significantly in their mental health scores. The calculated t-value (-1.35) and p-value (0.132) exceeded the 0.05 threshold, confirming the hypothesis. These findings suggest that gender does not play a significant role in determining mental health among volleyball players in this region.
