Water treatment facilities in Rwanda face challenges related to efficiency and system performance, necessitating a methodological evaluation. A randomized field trial was conducted to assess the efficacy of current water treatment facilities. The study employed statistical models to quantify efficiency and uncertainty. The analysis revealed a significant improvement (p < 0. 05) in effluent quality, with a mean reduction of 23% in turbidity compared to baseline measurements. This replication study supports the robustness of methodological approaches used in previous studies and underscores the need for continued monitoring and optimization of water treatment systems. Further research should focus on identifying specific factors contributing to efficiency gains and exploring scalability of these findings across different regions.
