This project presents a scoping review aimed at systematically identifying and mapping the prevalence, influencing factors, clinical assessment tools, and existing interventions for death anxiety among patients diagnosed with end-stage chronic diseases. The review followed the JBI Global (formerly Joanna Briggs Institute) methodological framework and adhered to the PRISMA-ScR (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews) reporting guidelines. A comprehensive search was conducted across nine electronic databases (including PubMed, CINAHL, Embase, and CNKI) from database inception to December 15, 2025. Key findings included in this repository:Study Selection: A total of 68 original studies were analyzed. Prevalence: High death anxiety prevalence ranged from 25% to 80% (mean = 53.30%). Influencing Factors: Identification of 82 factors categorized into demographic, socioeconomic, disease-related, and psycho-behavioral dimensions. Assessment Tools: Analysis of prominent tools such as T-DAS, DADDS, and DAQ. Interventions: Summary of evidence-based treatments including ACT, Life Review Therapy, and VR-integrated support.
