Research demonstrates efficient removal of OFL and Cr(VI) in wastewater using a novel photocatalytic system, highlighting its potential for remediation.
Dual-Photoelectrode Materials In their Research Article (10.1002/adfm.202522611), Ya-nan Zhang and co-workers design an advanced CuBi2O4/TiO2 photoanode and an nZVI/TiO2 photocathode to construct an efficient photoelectrocatalytic/peroxymonosulfate system (CuBi2O4/nZVI-PEC/PMS). Featuring S-scheme/Ohmic dual junctions and Cu/Fe double active centers, this system triggers ultrafast redox kinetics, achieving near-complete synchronous removal of OFL (k = 0.994 min−1) and Cr(VI) (k = 0.325 min−1) within 10 min to provide a promising strategy for complex wastewater remediation.
