Immune Regulatory Role of Parasympathetic Nervous System in Murine Corneal Allografts via Inhibition of Dendritic Cell Activation and T Cell Polarization
The research aims to explore how the parasympathetic nervous system affects corneal allograft survival through immune regulation.
Investigated the role of parasympathetic innervation in corneal allografts in murine models.
Examined dendritic cell activation and T cell polarization.
Analyzed the effects on APC activation and Treg generation.
Inhibition of dendritic cell activation was observed.
Reduced generation of Foxp3+ Tregs was noted.
Enhanced Th1/Th17 polarization was documented.
Abstract
Parasympathetic innervation may play a critical role in regulating corneal allograft survival by modulating APC activation, reducing Foxp3+ Treg generation, and enhancing Th1/Th17 polarization.
