This review identifies pathways for transforming digital marketing education, indicating a need for innovative curriculum approaches.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is fundamentally reshaping the digital marketing landscape, necessitating a paradigm shift in marketing education from traditional tool-based instruction to comprehensive thinking cultivation. This review paper systematically examines the core pathways through which AI is transforming digital marketing curriculum systems. Drawing on recent literature and case studies, we propose a three-dimensional framework encompassing technological evolution, competency development, pedagogical innovation, and ethical considerations. The study identifies that AI integration in marketing education requires a shift from teaching specific software tools to developing students' generative, analytical, and collaborative capabilities with AI systems. We outline a structured approach for curriculum redesign that includes modular course structures, hands-on AI tool integration, and ethical AI literacy development. The findings provide actionable insights for educators, curriculum developers, and institutions seeking to prepare marketing professionals for an AI-driven future.
