Deceptive jamming, a type of electronic attack, generates false targets and prevents radar systems from properly tracking real targets. Appropriate electronic protection (EP) techniques are required to effectively counter these threats. This study proposed an EP algorithm designed to respond to deceptive jamming during radar tracking. The proposed algorithm detected the presence of deceptive jammers and operated reference filters accordingly, thereby enabling effective responses to various types of deceptive jamming scenarios including range gate pull-off (RGPO) and range gate pull-in (RGPI). The simulation results demonstrated that the proposed method effectively avoided deceptive jamming signals and maintained the stable tracking of actual targets.
