Case report identifies urinary bladder eversion in rabbits, suggesting surgical intervention is effective.
Two entire female dwarf rabbits ( Oryctolagus cuniculus ), aged 5 months and 10 years, were presented with a mass protruding from the vaginal opening. Diagnostic imaging and exploratory laparotomy confirmed the diagnosis of transurethral urinary bladder eversion. Both animals were treated successfully by surgical intervention. The underlying cause of the urinary bladder eversion remained undetermined.
