Zambia faces significant environmental challenges due to industrial pollution, particularly in urban areas like Lusaka. A mixed-methods approach combining interviews with industry stakeholders and analysis of existing data on pollution levels. Industry emissions were reduced by an average of 25% in the treated plants, indicating a significant positive environmental impact. The implemented solutions have shown promise in improving air quality and reducing health risks associated with industrial pollutants. Continue monitoring pollution levels and further refine engineering controls to achieve even greater reductions in emissions. The maintenance outcome was modelled as Y₈ₓ=₀+₁X₈ₓ+uᵢ+₈ₓ, with robustness checked using heteroskedasticity-consistent errors.
