Multilevel assessment shows improved health outcomes in Rwanda's community health centres, indicating value for investment.
Community health centers (CHCs) in Rwanda are pivotal for delivering healthcare services to underserved populations. Despite their importance, there has been limited methodological evaluation of CHC systems' effectiveness and sustainability. The research employs a mixed-methods approach combining quantitative data from CHC performance metrics and qualitative interviews. A multilevel logistic regression model will be utilised to assess the relationship between CHC interventions and risk factors at both individual and community levels. A significant proportion (35%) of participants reported improved health outcomes after engaging with CHCs, indicating a positive effect on reducing certain health risks. The multilevel regression analysis reveals that CHCs contribute to risk reduction by enhancing access to healthcare services and improving patient adherence to treatment regimens. Based on the findings, it is recommended that further investments be directed towards expanding CHC networks and strengthening their operational sustainability. Community Health Centres, Multilevel Regression Analysis, Risk Reduction, Rwanda Treatment effect was estimated with logit(pᵢ)=β₀+β^ Xᵢ, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
