Numerical model calculates radiative energy density in plasma, suggesting high accuracy in simulations.
A grid-characteristic algorithm for calculating radiative transfer is presented. Using this approximation, an expression for the radiation energy density as a quadrature of the absorption coefficient and plasma emissivity is derived for the first time, and the contribution of radiation as a source term in the electron energy equation is calculated. Results of numerical simulations using this model of the liners acceleration dynamics are presented. These results are confirmed by data from experiments conducted on the ANGARA5-1 facility. Consequently, the numerical model developed in this paper can be considered adequate.
