A qualitative study involving interviews with library professionals and archival curators, as well as an analysis of existing documentation. Libraries and archives have documented over 70% of traditional oral histories in Cameroon's cultural narratives, highlighting the importance of digital preservation efforts. The role of libraries and archives in safeguarding African intellectual heritage is crucial for future research and education in Cameroon. Increased funding and support are recommended to strengthen archival practices and promote public access to these resources.
