Research demonstrates a food-based wireless sensor for gastrointestinal monitoring, suggesting innovative health monitoring solutions.
Edible Wireless Sensing Devices In their Research Article (10.1002/admt.202501603), Tetsuo Kan, Hiroaki Onoe, and co-workers demonstrate an all-food-based edible wireless capsule sensor for gastrointestinal monitoring. The substrate is made of sugar and starch, and the electrodes are made of gold. This sensor has isotropic electromagnetic wave characteristics in response to rotation. It is useful for collecting data from inside the body, which rotates in multiple directions.
