Analysis reveals a significant link between corneal curvature and intraocular pressure measurements using Tonomat.
The intra‐ocular pressure was measured on 100 eyes with the Tonomat. That value was compared with the radius of curvature for these eyes and a statistically significant relationship was found. With larger radius of curvature the IOP was found to be greater on the average and vice‐versa. Hence it is suggested that corneal curvature be taken into consideration when using this tonometer.
