Empirical investigation reveals renewable energy boosts green growth in tourism, suggesting new policy directions.
This study aims to investigate the mediating and moderating roles of renewable energy (RENEW) between tourism and green growth (GG) in G20 countries. The empirical investigation finds that tourism promotes GG through RENEW. Furthermore, RENEW positively moderates the tourism-GG nexus. Policy recommendations suggest directing revenue earned from tourism toward integrating renewable energy infrastructure within the tourism sector to achieve GG and Sustainable Development Goals.
