Case report details a unique lesion in a young man, suggesting potential autoimmune connections.
A waxy multinodular lesion on the upper lip was diagnosed as primary localized cutaneous nodular amyloidosis (PLCNA), characterized by diffuse dermal AL-type amyloid deposition with lambda light-chain restriction. Comprehensive baseline evaluation for systemic amyloidosis was unremarkable, and the lesion was managed with local therapy. This case underscores the distinctive clinicopathologic features of PLCNA and highlights the need for long-term follow-up given the risk of recurrence and reported associations with autoimmune or indolent lymphoproliferative disorders.
