ABSTRACT The glycogen level, lactic acid dehydrogenase reactivity and thickness of the rabbit corneal epithelium was quantified using histochemical techniques after the cornea had been maintained in an oxygen free environment for four and a half hours and allowed to progress through a series of recovery intervals.
