Automotive steering systems are designated as important safety components and require high reliability and quiet operation. For more accurate meshing simulation of worm gear for steering systems, we focused on the conventional method to solve the load on each tooth by using tooth deformation formula. In this study, tooth surface contact calculation was improved by using mesh model, and the method was applied to the characteristics of steering systems.
