Discusses DAS parameters' impact on seismic measurements, highlighting implications for geophysical techniques.
Distributed Acoustic Sensing is now a proven solution to record seismic data over long distances and dense geometries. It fundamentally differs however from traditional geophone or hydrophone measurements as the wavefield is sampled on a non-zero length instead of a point. In this paper, we discuss the influence of DAS optical and processing parameters on the recorded seismic data.
