Cross-disciplinary analysis links immune system collapse in type 1 diabetes to machine learning principles, suggesting new predictive insights.
We propose that type 1 diabetes (T1D) is a phase transition in the immune system's self-reference resolution mechanism. We establish a structural analogy between the immune system and machine learning systems, analyze six proven causal triggers through this lens, and derive testable predictions. Includes inline honesty checks throughout. This version adds author attribution and removes the overly self-deprecating Critical Self-Assessment section — the inline honesty checks and the Limitations/Counterevidence section provide sufficient critical evaluation.
