Fabrication of high-strength and self-healing polyurethane composites via Diels–Alder dynamic bonds for sustainable thermal management materials

ZYZhangyong YuZYZhaokun Yang

Key Points

  • The aim is to develop high-strength polyurethane composites with self-healing capabilities for effective thermal management.
  • Synthesis of dynamically reversible polyurethane (DRPU) elastomers
  • Incorporation of f3-Al2O3 filler
  • Assessment of mechanical and thermal properties
  • DRPU composites demonstrated strong mechanical and adhesive properties
  • DRPU 0.52 /80% f3-Al2O3 showed significantly enhanced thermal conductivity
  • Self-healing properties were observed in synthesized elastomers

Abstract

Dynamically reversible polyurethane (DRPU) elastomers with good mechanical, adhesive and self-healing properties were synthesized. With the addition of f 3 -Al 2 O 3 filler, DRPU 0.52 /80% f 3 -Al 2 O 3 exhibited the high thermal conductivity.
