This scoping review outlines the processes to assess gender research, indicating its relevance in higher education.
This research protocol provides a detailed description of the procedure for implementing the methodology of a systematic literature assessment, specifically a scoping review, to provide an overview of gender research on the labor market in higher education. The scoping review extracted a corpus of 82 studies that were identified by using a specific search strategy in 30 relevant gender research journals which use English as publication language. The overarching scope of the review includes approaches, theories, and methodologies with an intersectional perspective as a tool which is critical of power-relations.
