Dataset captures plant-pollinator interactions, revealing dynamics in island ecology and invasions.
This dataset provides comprehensive information on pollination interaction networks across four islands in the Ogasawara Islands (Japan). The dataset captures plant–pollinator interactions under different ecological and environmental contexts, offering valuable insights into island pollination dynamics and invasion ecology. Data Structure 1. Pollination interaction networks Each row represents a recorded pollination interaction event with the following variables: Island: Study island (Chichijima, Hahajima, Anijima, or Ototojima) Invasional context: Sampled site Forest status: Habitat condition (natural or disturbed) Anole: Presence or absence of anole lizards Season: Sampling period (May, July, or September 2021) Plant species: Scientific name of the plant Taxonomic hierarchy: Class, Order, and Family of the plant species Specific identity: Scientific name or morphospecies ID of the pollinator N.Int: Number of legitimate pollination interactions recorded
