Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the reliability of various dental age estimation methods in comparison with Cameriere’s third molar maturity index. Methods: Databases including PubMed, Scopus, Cochrane Library, and EBSCOhost were searched. Five eligible studies published between 2013 and 2025 were included. Results: Cameriere’s third molar maturity index demonstrated superior accuracy in adolescent and young adult populations compared to alternative methods.
