This study focuses on investigating the impact of critical thinking and case studies on learning chemistry by non-science majors. Assessment through pre-tests and post-tests has been used to determine the benefits of the approach. The results show that students’ basic chemistry knowledge improved significantly. In addition, student evaluations at the end of the semester indicated that the course was very exciting, and therefore students were eager to recommend the course to their colleagues.
