Abstract

Norman Davies was Registrar of the General Dental Council from 1981 until his retirement in 1996. He was thus involved in discussions in Europe about the harmonization of training of dentists across the Union to aid movement of qualified dentists to work in any of the European Union countries. This followed an illustrious career in the Army.
