Abstract

The article is a review of a two-volume monograph by Yu. A. Pelevin about the revolutionary populist Alexander Mikhailov. The plots from the revolutionarys life described in the work (family atmosphere, initial path to radicalism, propaganda work among the Old Believers) are singled out as having laid the foundation for his personality and then - revolutionary ethics.
