Investigates the kinetics of boiling-up in superheated n-pentane, revealing vortex formation and lifetime dependences.
The kinetics of spontaneous boiling-up of superheated n-pentane in a glass tube is investigated. It has been shown that the dependences of the mean lifetime of the superheated liquid on the depth of entry into the metastable region lie near one curve. The formation of vortex structures has been revealed in the initial stage of boiling-up of superheated n-pentane, thermostatically controlled in the middle of the tube.
