The toolkit demonstrates effective practices for youth engagement in citizenship, highlighting important strategies for involvement.
The “Catch EyoU Toolkit – Practices of Active Participation” is a practical collection of successful examples of youth engagement and active citizenship across Europe, developed within the Horizon 2020 project “Catch EyoU”. The Toolkit translates multidisciplinary research findings into accessible and ready-to-use resources for youth organisations, youth workers, and stakeholders. It presents real-life case studies of youth participation, highlighting their context, implementation, key success factors, and challenges, with the aim of inspiring and supporting the replication of effective practices. The content is structured into four main thematic areas: youth involvement in policy dialogue, inclusive active European citizenship, youth voice in traditional and new media, and formal and non-formal education. Each section is complemented by practical recommendations to foster youth participation. Overall, the Toolkit serves as a user-friendly reference to promote active citizenship among young people and to support the development of participatory initiatives at local, national, and European levels.
