Draft genome sequence reveals pathogenic potential in shrimp, indicating implications for aquaculture.
We report the draft genome sequence of Aeromonas enteropelogenes A5, isolated from a diseased shrimp (Penaeus monodon) in Bangladesh. The 4,571,270 bp genome contains 4,125 predicted coding sequences with 59.6% GC content and multiple putative virulence-associated genes. The genome provides insights into the pathogenic potential of A. enteropelogenes in shrimp aquaculture.
