Abstract

This study examines the sustainable development potential of spiritual tourism at the Tam Chuc Pagoda complex, Ninh Binh, Vietnam. It evaluates the current strengths, limitations, and challenges associated with tourism exploitation at the site. Based on this assessment, strategic recommendations are proposed to transform Tam Chuc into a leading spiritual tourism destination that balances tourism growth with the preservation of Buddhist values, while addressing the needs of pilgrims today and in the future. The findings aim to guide policymakers, tourism planners, and stakeholders in promoting responsible and sustainable spiritual tourism practices.
