Abstract

日本社会学会が刊行してきた機関誌（学会誌）5誌，すなわち『社会学雑誌』『季刊社会学』『年報社会学』『社会学研究』『社会学評論』に掲載された文献のタイトルと著者名のデータベースを作成し，100年間の日本の社会学の歩みを振り返る．100年を10期に分け，それぞれの時期の対象文献数を分母として，特定の内容を含む文献の割合（出現率）を求めて主な考察対象とする．「民族」「国家」「宗教」「人口」「近代」「日本」「家族」等の出現率の趨勢から，第2次世界大戦前を第ⅰ期，第2次世界大戦後のおよそ1950年代から1980年代までを第ⅱ期，そしてそれ以降を第ⅲ期とするおおまかな時期区分が見出せる．第ⅰ期と第ⅲ期はある意味で似ているが内実は異なる．その間に挟まれ，どちらとも異なるユニークな時代だった第ⅱ期を「社会学の戦後体制」と名づける．その特徴は日本への関心の集中と世界的視野の後退，「家族」研究の隆盛と裏腹なジェンダー研究の減少，および社会構造の安定を反映した実践的研究の減少であった．第ⅲ期の日本の社会学の研究動向はすでにそこから何歩も踏み出しているのだが，「社会学の戦後体制」的な性格もまだ引きずっている．この言語ゲームから外に出るには，それに代わる枠組みを見出すことが必要である．
