Joint research develops a new method that effectively extracts metals from complex sulphide ores, indicating economic benefits.
A joint research on the treatment of complex sulphide ores had been under way at this institute for these three years, resulting in a new method, named "Selective-Sulphatization~Flotation Process". A summary flow sheet of the process is shown in Fig. 1 below. This method is effective in extracting copper, lead, iron and sulphur from the complexores economically. The results of its semi・industrial test are published in details in the Reports No. 32, 3, 4 and 5 of this series.
