The two-dimensional problem of thermal conductivity for a semi-infinite domain bounded by a relief line is considered. Fluctuations of temperature are assumed to be steady-state. An approximate formula for the temperature field in the upper layer of the Earth’s crust has been obtained. The formula takes into account the curvature of the relief line. The results are compared with the previously obtained semianalytical solution, as well as with a formula that takes into account only inclinations of relief elements to the horizon (in the spirit of the Harrison–Herbst theory).
