This study examined the enantioselective accumulation, tissue distribution, and dissipation kinetics of the chiral pesticide benzovindiflupyr (BEN) in female and male zebrafish. Results revealed significant gender-, enantiomer-, and tissue-specific differences. In the 14-day accumulation phase, 1S,4R-BEN was preferentially accumulated in all tissues after racemate BEN exposure, with the peak concentrations and bioconcentration fraction (BCFs, 16.27-233.51) 1.5-4.5 times higher than 1R,4S-BEN (11.02-54.96). The BEN concentrations in internal organs (heart, liver, and intestine) were 717.19-1839.44 ng/g, which were higher than those in peripheral tissues (muscle and gill, 451.34-1076.87 ng/g). In the 7-day dissipation, 1S,4R-BEN showed the slower dissipation than 1R,4S-BEN, with longer half-lives. Compared with males, BEN showed more accumulation and slower dissipation in females. The dietary risk (% ADI < 1%) from muscle was acceptable. The high BCFs and enantioselectivity warranted attention. This study highlighted the need to incorporate enantiomer/gender-specificity into chiral pesticide risk assessments, providing a critical basis for accurate risk evaluation.
