In response to the recent tsunami of misinformation around sunscreens and commensurate non-scientific questioning of sunscreen safety and utility, often amplified through social media, this manifesto has been written to reflect accurately and concisely the status of our understanding based on current scientific knowledge. We argue that sunscreen products are not a threat but essential tools in furthering human health globally.
