The article provides a generalized analysis of modern scientific research that reveals the problems of teacher training at the higher education level. The risks and trends in the development of modern society affecting the requirements for teacher training are characterized. The article presents a methodological analysis of the concept of "transprofessional approach" in the context of the problems of higher pedagogical education: its main ideas, principles, model and results of implementation as the integration of soft skills, hard skills and Digital competencies. Based on the analysis of research on the problem of educating a teacher as a transprofessional specialist, the dialectical interrelationships of traditions and innovations in modern education have been identified, as well as the orientation of education towards educating a teacher as an "innovative person": a specialist who adapts to situations of constant change, ready to actively engage in innovation. The general perspective of teacher training based on a transprofessional approach is revealed: as a way of dealing with knowledge in non-standard situations.
